Now if there is one thing I love it’s spoon rings! After my great-grandma passed away we found my spoon ring (the first picture) in the drawer of an old coffee grinder, random right? Well the coffee grinder was broken and the drawer was also full of other little nick-nacks so it’s not that weird, I guess. Either way, like I mentioned the first picture is my beloved spoon ring the other two are etsy finds.

What is your favorite Etsy find?

I even got a lesson how to de-bone and skin chicken, haha! I’d pry just buy it de-boned and skinned so that was already done ;)

So much chicken, gotta use a pan that covers two burners! haha! Heat pan with oil… bread chicken with super secret breading.

Brownin’ it up! And if I may just say… how fabulous is my grandma? I seriously love that woman, she is the epitome of style and grace! Now this is where I really cut out the secret steps… sooo TA-DA it’s done! haha But seriously, how AMAZING DOES THAT LOOK?

Seriously, so delicious! Yum, yum, yum!

Finish it all off with grandma noodles (another secret recipe), mashed potatoes, creamed corn and grandma’s special spinach and strawberry salad. When I think comfort food… this is EXACTLY what I think of. So good! I will be attempting to make my own sometime soon… I’ll be sure to post how it goes!

How freaking awesome are these giant letters?? I want, I want, I want! A place that I pass on my drive from Minneapolis to Davenport, Ia has weird stuff like the letters in the second photo… maybe I should stop and check it out some day . ;)

How adorable are these owls? Owls are big right now and I’m not totally on the band wagon, but these are just way too cute. I am though, totally on the bird band wagon, which is why I also love the bottom two prints.

These moleskin covers are genius! I’ve never been a big fan of moleskins myself, I’m more of a spiral bound girl, but I would so buy one of these if I were lucky enough to have an iphone/ipad etc.

Now as I mentioned I am a spiral bound notebook kind of girl, but I could NOT resist this Dot Grid Journal from Behance. I seriously love it so much! The dot grid is amazing, I use to carry around to sketchbooks, one with plain paper, the other with a grid. I couldn’t stand to do grid-not-needed sketching in my grided sketchbook but the Dot Grid Journal makes it so easy to ignore them when I want and pay close attention to them when I want. Their Action Method products are amazing as well, but as a Google Tasks addict, I opted for just he journal.

This handmade journal using an old chalkboard as a cover and adorable and genius. Once in high school I had a binder that had a whiteboard-ish cover that you could write on (but wasn’t as easy to erase as a whiteboard) and I loved it for all my little to-do lists. I know I’ve shared this before but I seriously can’t get over this idea of turning the underside of your stairs into a bookshelf! Though if this were my house I would have to add some type of railing onto the open side, I really hate stairs that are open on one or either side, haha. I love this idea of using advice books as guestbooks at your wedding! At my high school graduation I had everyone sign a copy of “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” and it’s always so fun to go back through and read what everyone wrote.

Speaking in Styles is the book we are reading for my Designing for the Web Class and HOLY COW is it awesome! If you are new to web design or it totally confuses you, you need to pick up this book TODAY. It makes the world of web design seem not so overwhelming, complete with tons of examples and pictures. Fantastic, really.
